Belarus is located in Eastern Europe, known for its dense forests, lakes and historic cities such as Minsk. The country has a strong Soviet cultural and architectural heritage.
At the moment, security is unstable, so we don’t recommend visiting Belarus.
Climate
The climate is continental, with long, cold winters and short, hot summers. Snow is frequent in winter.
Languages
The official languages are Belarusian and Russian. English is limited and more common in urban areas.
Driving
Drive on the right. There are no tolls on main highways for light vehicles. Speed limits are strictly enforced.
Camping
Wild camping is generally allowed in rural areas, as long as private property is respected. There are regulated campsites.
Biker Zones
Rural and forest roads are popular with motorcyclists, especially in the Brest and Grodno regions.
Special Zones
The historic centers of Minsk and other larger cities have pedestrian areas and controlled parking.
