Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean, known for its revolutionary history, classic cars, music (salsa, son cubano), tropical beaches and colonial architecture.

Climate

Tropical, with a dry season (November to April) and a rainy season (May to October). Hurricanes possible between August and October.

Languages

Spanish is official and predominant. English is spoken in tourist areas.

Driving

Drive on the right. Main roads are reasonable, but secondary roads can be degraded. No tolls.

Camping

Wild camping is rare. There are campsites and state-run accommodation.

Biker Zones

Coastal roads and inland agricultural routes are popular for motorcycle rides, but the infrastructure is limited.

Special Zones

Old Havana has pedestrianized streets and controlled traffic.
