The Czech Republic is located in the heart of Europe and is known for its historical heritage, medieval castles and charming cities. Prague, the capital, is nicknamed the “City of a Hundred Towers” and is famous for its Charles Bridge and astronomical clock.
Climate
The climate is continental, with cold, snowy winters and hot summers. Spring and fall are pleasant seasons to visit, with moderate temperatures.
Languages
The official language is Czech. In some border areas, German and Polish are also spoken. English is increasingly used in tourist areas.
Driving
Drive on the right. To drive on the highways, you need an electronic sticker, which you can buy online or at gas stations. Speed limits are strictly enforced.
Camping
Wild camping is prohibited. There are, however, many campsites and areas for motorhomes, especially near lakes and natural areas.
Biker Zones
The country offers beautiful routes for motorcyclists, such as the roads through South Bohemia and the mountainous region of Moravia. The Šumava area is particularly popular.
Special Zones
The historic centers of Prague and other tourist cities are restricted access areas, with traffic restrictions and controlled parking.
