Denmark is the southernmost country in Scandinavia, made up of a peninsula (Jutland) and hundreds of islands. Copenhagen, the capital, is known for its quality of life, cycle paths and modern architecture. The country also stands out for its castles, coastal fjords and innovative design.
Climate
The climate is temperate oceanic, with cool summers and cold winters, but rarely extreme. Rainfall is distributed throughout the year.
Languages
The official language is Danish. English is widely spoken, and in border regions German is also heard.
Driving
Drive on the right. There are no tolls on the highways, except on some bridges and tunnels, such as the Øresund Bridge (to Sweden).
Camping
Wild camping is prohibited, except in areas designated by the state (called “shelters”). There are many organized campsites.
Biker Zones
Jutland’s coastal routes and the roads around the island of Bornholm are very popular with motorcyclists.
Special Zones
Copenhagen has restricted traffic zones and pedestrian areas, such as Stroget. Parking is paid for in most of the center.
Motorcycles park in car spaces and car parks and pay the same as a car, it is forbidden to leave them on sidewalks or in places other than a car park.
