North Korea is a very restricted destination for tourists, where travel is only possible through organized tours, offering a rare and controlled perspective of an almost inaccessible country.

North Korea is a closed country and one of the most isolated in the world. Tourist travel is restricted to state-controlled programs.

Drive on the right. The use of private vehicles is very limited. There are main roads, but many are degraded.

Camping

Wild camping is non-existent and prohibited. Tourism is controlled and restricted to hotels designated by the state.

There are no tourist routes for motorcyclists. The circulation of foreigners in their own vehicles is prohibited.

Special Zones

Pyongyang has restricted zones and access to cities outside the official tourist itinerary is controlled.
