Travel to Venezuela 🇻🇪

Venezuela is a country of impressive contrasts for motorcyclists, with roads that run through Andean mountains, immense plains and tropical landscapes that go as far as the Salto Ángel Falls.

Capital: Caracas

Official Language: Spanish

Emergency Number: 171 / 911

Currency: Venezuelan Bolivar (VES) – the US dollar (USD) is widely used in everyday life

Foreign cards rarely work, even in big cities, we recommend using VES or USD cash.

Freeway: 100-120 km/h

Road: 80-90 km/h

Localities : 40-60 km/h

Venezuela is located in the north of South America, bathed by the Caribbean Sea. It is known for its vast oil reserves, natural beauty (Salto Ángel – the highest waterfall in the world, Los Roques, Canaima Park) and the Andes mountain range that runs through the west of the country.

Climate

Predominantly tropical, with variations: humid in the plains, temperate in the mountains and arid in coastal areas of the northwest.

Languages

Spanish is official and predominant. There are also around 30 recognized indigenous languages spoken in local communities.

Driving

Drive on the right. There are highways around Caracas and between the main cities, some with tolls. The quality of the roads varies greatly.

Camping

Wild camping is possible in some natural regions, but safety must be considered. There are campsites in tourist areas such as Los Roques and Canaima.

Biker Zones

Notable routes include Andean roads (Mérida), the Llanos and coastal routes in the Caribbean.

Special Zones

Caracas and other large cities have areas with heavy traffic, parking restrictions and pedestrian areas in historic centers.
